Furniture Restoration

When restoring any piece of antique furniture a strong emphasis is placed on preservation. Using a variety of traditional techniques the aim is always to retain the original finish, ensuring that the authenticity, character and patina remain intact and the piece is protected as much as possible. Considerable understanding and expertise is required to restore a pieces whilst preserving the integrity of the object. Some restoration requires the design and construction of missing components such as moldings, or missing carved sections which are able to be reproduced using original tools and methods. Take a look through our portfolio examples below that show just some of our restoration projects.

Reproductions

Furniture reproductions from any period can be undertaken. Original pieces can be copied and where required, designed and made to match existing pieces. All of the techniques used in construction and finish are true to the period of the piece. A small selection of our reproduction projects are in the gallery below.
